There was an old owl lived in an oak,
The more he heard, the less he spoke;
The less he spoke, the more he heard,
Now wasn't that a wise old bird!

I have been collecting owls for more than 40 years & wanted to share some of my collection with the community. As anyone can, I volunteered to fill the 4 large cases at our local library for the month of March, 2007. The library coordinator was worried that I could not fill them but she didn't know my collection. My family & friends have helped me build my collection but all could not be included. I quickly ran out of space & some items were too big such as wall pictures or inappropriate such as planters with live plants in them. So the rest of the collection stayed home with me. I'm glad because the house would have seemed bare to me with no owls in it. As it is, I have no napkin holder or letter opener until April 1st.

I hope you enjoy the photos of the display. Click on any photo for a close-up.

Many of my owls are off to the Orange Park Library
for display during all of March, 2007.
I still have plenty plenty left at home to keep me company
but I have been back to the library often
to visit the ones that are away.
